So my trip to Chicago last week did not go off without a hitch. I have never been on a flight that was cancelled before, much less cancelled twice. So on Monday, I was supposed to get on a flight on American Airlines to get to Chicago. Except that flight was cancelled due to weather in Chicago. Apparantly there were thunder storms that kept people from landing. So I booked a plane ticket for the next day. Which also was cancelled due to weather. But since I needed to be in Chicago, I tried to rebook for something later in the evening. Unfortunately, AA did not have any more flights and the only flight they could get me on was one at 8am the next morning, stopping in Dallas, and then going up to Chicago, landing at about 1pm. And they weren't going to give me anything. No vouchers for drinks or anything. Just wanted me to accept the fact that they weren't going to do anything for me except to rebook. So I cried. Because I was stressed. Because I needed to get to Chicago and it's the second day that I couldn't get there. And because I was already stressed out already.
