A Room With a View

This is the view from my office. The thing about working in Orlando is that pretty much every day looks like this. You just want to go outside and hang out by the pool. The only problem with this is that 4 months out of the year, you will instantly combust if you step outside. And then 3 months out of the year, it’s hurricane season. You may or may not be drenched if you go outside. But when you’re in the office looking out the window where the sky is that Simpson’s Springfield Blue, well, you just want to go outside instead of working.

Hurricane season actually lasts for six months, it's just that we get those three months where it's intensely exciting.

lol, seriously? 6 months? That's like 2 months out of the year that it's really pleasant then! It's hot as hell now.

Yep, June 1st through November 30th. Our highest-risk months are August-October.

And if you can handle moderate heat, late October through about April is fairly pleasant. I wouldn't spend more than 5 minutes outside during July and August on a bet.

Oh, those beautiful blue skies and puffy clouds, so happy making! After 6 years of London grey which really is like living inside tupperware, I adore the blue sky days we have back home. Even if it's freezing, they make me so happy.

Around our way Google Streetview went through in the middle of summer so if you look anyplace up chances are ithere's a blue sky and everything is FLOODED with sunshine like your photo. Sigh. Lifts any mood :-)
